you indicated you're not a technical person, so I'm not going into all
the details here. But simply put, you can't track the names of the
people who visited, only their IP addresses. From that, DSpace can
guess their location, so you can see statistics breakdown by
country/city.

documentation for your version:

If you needed to process the raw usage data yourself, outside of
DSpace, that's also possible, but as I said, I'm not going to all the
details here.
