Hi Remi,

I would see two options here:

1) Just make the second DSpace point to the same database (or a copy of the
first one). Also, do not forget to copy the assetstore and do an
"index-init" as well, in order to create again the browse and search
indexes.

2) Export items from the first DSpace and import them in the second one
using the command line tools in the "bin" directory and not he graphical
ones. You can even keep the same handles for the items.

Should you need more details, please do not hesitate to ask again.

Regards,

Kostas

Subject: [Dspace-tech] DSpace on two servers

Hi guys,

In our university, we have two servers and on each one of them there is
DSpace. Now, we want to shut down one and export the items along with the
metadata to the other one. Can the export import help here?
or OAI Harvesting?

Thanks in advance
