Ah-Ha! OK, let's use ISO 639 (maybe use the Library of Congress version
that looks an awful lot like 639-2, maybe not). Pretty much all the
collection is European dating as early as 13th century (thus, Old French
and English in various forms plus some others). I did find a ISO 639-6
site (that you don't have to pay for) at ISO 639-6

so, what the heck, go for it.

Well, the list wants plain text and plain text doesn't support tables and
