Hi all,

We're on DSpace 3.1, Tomcat 5.5 (I know, I know - it's a time and resources
thing), OpenJDK 6.

One of our TIF image collections requires authorisation for access to the full
size images. However, we would like to display the thumbnails and preview
images to anonymous users. At the moment, only a hyperlink is shown instead of
the actual thumbnail/preview.

It looks like this is not possible with the wildcard policy tool, as BITSTREAM
seems to cover thumbnails, previews and images - so one cannot differentiate
between them.

Is it the case that I would need to write some SQL to do this (it could be done
by hand, but my repository manager doesn't want to go through ~500 records and
do this - don't know why)? If so, would the policies just be overwritten by
DSpace? What are the alternatives?

Thanks very much,
Gary
