Hello,
We are working on creating a development instance of DSpace. We would like
the development instance to mirror the live instance except that we would
only like to include a handful of representative items in each collection.
I had hoped to use the AIP Backup and Restore tool to move
communities/collections/items from the live site to the development
instance. I created a single AIP for the site and several other single AIPs
for communities/collections/items.
Starting with an empty database I ingested the Site AIP to the development
instance. I then tried using the restore mode to ingest the
community/collection/item AIPs. However, I've noticed that all of the
database IDs (for people, groups, etc) are different and that
authorizations were not restored correctly on many items.
Can anyone suggest a better way to accomplish what we are trying to do?
We are using DSpace 3.1.
Thanks,
Anna
