When a PDF file is served by Tomcat directly, then the header says: . . . Content-Type application/pdf . . . and the file is displayed by the plugin in the browser.
When the same PDF is served by DSpace, then the header says: . . . Content-Disposition attachment;filename="bookPDF2.pdf" Content-Type application/pdf;charset=ISO-8859-1 . . . and the browser asks - "to save" or "to open outside the browser".
