Regards, Lewatle -----Original Message----- From: Apache [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: 13 February 2014 10:51 AM To: Lewatle Phaladi Subject: OAI Validation (step 1): http://wiredspace.wits.ac.za/oai/request We received a request to validate (but not register) the following repository: Base URL: http://wiredspace.wits.ac.za/oai/request adminEmail: [email protected] .............................................................................. Unfortunately your repository did not validate at version 2.0 of the OAI-PMH according to our OAI protocol conformance tester. The errors received during testing are listed below. [1] The baseURL supplied http://wiredspace.wits.ac.za/oai/request does not match the baseURL provided in the Identify response http://146.141.12.21/oai/request The baseURL you enter must EXACTLY match the baseURL returned in the Identify response. It must match in case (http://Wibble.org/ does not match http://wibble.org/) and include any trailing slashes etc. Aborting tests because of errors in the Identify response, you must correct these errors before tests can continue. .............................................................................. To help find your errors, you might use Hussein Suleman's Repository Explorer at <http://purl.org/net/oai_explorer>. Note that the Repository Explorer has less stringent tests than this validation service but provides a very convenient way to examine and navigate OAI responses. If you wish to rerun the validation tests when you have corrected the errors shown, you may do so by from http://www.openarchives.org/Register/ValidateSite If there is something you do not understand about these validation tests or something you think is in error, please email [email protected]. The OAI validation service is supported through NSF award number 0127308. <table width="100%" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" style="width:100%;"> <tr> <td align="left" style="text-align:justify;"><font face="arial,sans-serif" size="1" color="#999999"><span style="font-size:11px;">This communication is intended for the addressee only.
