Re: my previous posts about extremely slow delete response time. I think I have located the source of the slow down, in IndexEventConsumer.java, line 184:
indexer.unIndexContent(ctx, hdl, true); Since autocommit is enabled in solrconfig.xml, is there any reason to set the commit parameter to true in this case? Indeed, setting it to false makes the response time instantaneous, as expected. Can someone explain why commit is true here? (nowhere else is unIndexContent() in this way...) Cheers!
