Thanks for your response.
I think it's an issue with the default behavior of indexing at browsing, I
tried replacing this line in the dspace.cnf file:
webui.browse.index.2 = author:metadata:dc.contributor.*,dc.creator:text
With this one:
webui.browse.index.2 = author:metadata:dc.contributor.author:text
To make it match just the dc.contributor.author metadata. After it, I
rebuilt DSpace and run './dspace index-discovery -b' to reindex everything
but nothing seems to change. Still registers seem to show up even if the
starting letter is not present in any other metadata field...
Is there something else I am missing?
