Hej Magnus,
I have made a recent bug-fix to that SAFBuilder tool about 2 months ago,
which adds this support for UTF-8.
See the bug report: https://github.com/peterdietz/SAFBuilder/issues/3
So, the best thing to do is to "upgrade" your version of SAFBuilder.
Either fresh checkout:
git clone https://github.com/peterdietz/SAFBuilder
cd SAFBuilder
./recompile.sh
Or, to update it:
cd SAFBuilder
git pull origin master
./recompile.sh
