I'm trying unsuccessfully permanently delete items from our Repository, DSpace
4.1, JSPUI :
http://repositorio.pucrs.br
We are using the default 4.1 installation, and as I can see in dspace.cfg, we
are not using SOLR as DAO (no DAO line is uncommented).
When I try remove an item I receive in the screen an "internal server error"
and a message by email, which contains:
Exception:
org.postgresql.util.PSQLException: ERROR: update or delete on table
"item" violates foreign key constraint "bi_2_dmap_item_id_fkey" on table
"bi_2_dmap"
Searching on DSpace-tech list archives I found these two tickets:

You probably just need to nuke your old browse tables now (provided that you're
using the Solr Browse DAO).

Remove rows from the table communities2item:
delete from communities2item;
However, I verified that our DSpace4.1 DB does not have any row in this table.
- How can I fix this problem before the DS-1920 resolution?
- May I follow the instructions published on
http://wiki.lib.sun.ac.za/index.php/SUNScholar/Browse_Indexes/3.2#WARNING ?
As a temporary workaround I am currently "withdrawing" the items I need to
remove, but expect to be able to definitively remove these items.
