Hi Luiz,
here at @mire, we all use Mac.
Picking an IDE can be somewhat of a personal choice but we are big
fans of IntelliJ
IDEA <http://www.jetbrains.com/idea/>, can't compare with Netbeans as I
haven't worked with Netbeans before.
I also found that the desktop Github client makes it easier to get into
using Git & Github. You can find the Mac client at:
https://mac.github.com/
A similar client is available for windows as well:
https://windows.github.com/
Also, a very easy way to install and use postgres on Mac is Postgresapp:
http://postgresapp.com/
In combination with pgadmin if you want to dive into the tables:
http://www.pgadmin.org/download/macosx.php
But since discovering how easy you can look into your Database, directly
from within IntelliJ IDEA, I hardly ever use pgadmin anymore.
A nice little thing for DSpace development is FakeSMTP to easily see all of
your outgoing DSpace email traffic:

have a nice weekend,
Bram
