I am running DSpace 3.2, using a modified Reference theme, with Discovery enabled. Everything was running fine this morning, but we discovered an encoding issue with the OAI provider. Seeing in the documentation that one common problem is needing the file encoding set in the JAVA_OPTS, I set that option and bounced the server. As soon as the server restarted, I received a 404 error from the xmlui. I then removed the new entry in the JAVA_OPTS, restoring it to exactly as it was, and restarted the server. I still received a 404 error. I do not receive a 404 error from visiting the solr (403, correctly) or oai (200 with full response) webapps. There is nothing reported in dspace.log or catalina.out. Suggestions?
