In my instance ( running 4.2 ), I use discovery and I left the Advance Page that works with lucene, so my instance also uses lucene to search. I know that when an item is deposited via the UI or itemimport both discovery and lucene are updated. I have verified this. But today I encountered a problem using itemupdate ( I think ). The command I used was:
./dspace itemupdate -e [email protected] -s /temp/citation -a dc.identifier.citation 2>&1 | tee outfile_add I was updating a lot of items( 17K), and later today we had an error report that the advanced search page was not working. It seemed like the lucene search was no longer working. I'm now reindexing lucene and it seems to be working fine. Does it make sense that itemupdate broke lucene? Thank you!
