Hi Paolo, 1) Make a backup of [dspace]/solr/statistics. Restoring may go wrong, so you need a good copy to go back to. 2) You can convert and import usage events from dspace.log files using these two tools [2]. 3) Beware of duplicates. I'm not sure if there are checks for duplicate events, so ideally, you would have all log files and import them all into an empty Solr statistics index ([2] describes some Solr tinkering tips), but if you don't you can try importing only some events from log files into the index but you'll have to check for duplicates. 4) Note that in DSpace 5 contains a facility to export Solr statistics for backup purposes [3].
