I have been requested by a client to provide statistics based on users domain
information i.e. the number of visit counts grouped by the top level domain
such as .edu, .gov, etc. I note that the 'dns' field appears to store the
domain information however a number of records have an IP address stored in the
statistics for the dns field rather than a domain name which would make the
statistics inaccurate from a grouping perspective. I was wondering if anyone
else has created similar statistics and if so, how were you able to obtain
accurate information and how have you grouped the information.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated
