Thank you for your reply Tim, The thing is i am interested in providing an add on functionality to my cutomized dspace that would use it. This is in dspace 1.8.2. Hence i was interested in the way you would have done it in the subsequent version of dspace.
So far it seems to me that you relying on an external ES. Meaning, ES is already set up outside and you connect to it. Otherwise i don't see the code that actually initialize or deploy it.
