Ultra strange! What is that garbage there? Do you have anywhere in your 
dspam.conf set the pid file to be in a directory called run?

This looks like DSPAM trying to write in a user directory. Or it could be DSPAM 
trying to make the socket for client/daemon but failing. Could you post your 
whole dspam.conf?

Could you try to compile DSPAM with debug and verbose debug enabled and then 
run once with "dspam --daemon --debug" and then look if you have some useful 
info in the log file?
