Hello all, as you already have noticed, we have put our first public RC (release candidate) of DSPAM on SourceForge: http://sourceforge.net/projects/dspam/files/
I am not going in detail what all has changed. I will only quickly summarize what we have done for RC2 since our last public release (BETA4). Mainly we have fixed small (and big) issues in a lot of parts inside DSPAM. The biggest feature change for you out there compared to BETA4 is the removal of OSB for PValue. If you use this feature then please revert it back to something else after/before applying RC2. The inclusion of OSB for PValue was to early. We still need to invest some time/coding to get OSB for PValue right. The other functional change is that we added "Virus" to TrackSources, allowing you to keep track of virus infected mails. Other new features in RC2 are the various new translated templates. That's it regarding functional additions/changes. All other changes are bug fixes, speed enhancements, functional fixes and documentation changes. Ah! I almost forgot. We included the whole contrib directory this time with DSPAM. Please keep in mind that those files in the contrib directory are NOT officially supported by the DSPAM community project. If you fill in bug reports or feature requests in our tracker regarding the contrib directory then don't expect us to be able to act on them as fast as we do for the DSPAM core project. Please download RC2 and test it in your environment and let us know about your success or failure. Should there not be any big issues then we are aiming to release DSPAM around new year. btw: We still are open for your bug fixes, translations, etc. They just wont make it into 3.9.0 final. But after 3.9.0 we are going to switch into faster release mode and release new micro releases (that's 3.9.x) more often. -- Kind Regards from Switzerland, Stevan Bajić ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This SF.Net email is sponsored by the Verizon Developer Community Take advantage of Verizon's best-in-class app development support A streamlined, 14 day to market process makes app distribution fast and easy Join now and get one step closer to millions of Verizon customers http://p.sf.net/sfu/verizon-dev2dev _______________________________________________ Dspam-devel mailing list Dspam-devel@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/dspam-devel
