Category: None Group: None Status: Open Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: LedHed (ledhed_jgh) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Admin Specific WebUI Initial Comment: I think that it would be helpful if the WebUI were to be split into two Interfaces. One for end Users, and one for Admins. My vision of the Admin WebUI would be centered around admin functions, like managing users, setting preferences for multiple users, viewing logs & stats etc... Currently if you login to the WebUI as an admin you have to jump in and out of the 'Administrative Suite' tab to get things done. The Admin WebUI could also have more configuration options (like most of the config options in dspam.conf). I think a dedicated Admin WebUI would be helpful down the road if/when DSpam becomes an Appliance. The new Admin WebUI could also be the framework for the User WebUI. The New WebUI's could possibly be based on the m0n0wall UI which is PHP based and would allow for faster development. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Paul Cockings (paulcockings) Date: 2010-01-21 23:18 Message: I like the idea to split the admin interface, but I suggest this ticket is used for a 4.0 discussion rather then trying to butcher 3.9 branch to make this happen. We have some short comings in the core DSPAM utilities that will need to fixed/re-designed before we can produce a *better* web-ui. We've done some investigaton of moving to php and its not all that straight forward if you wish to maintain the current level of security. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=1126468&aid=2933493&group_id=250683 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Throughout its 18-year history, RSA Conference consistently attracts the world's best and brightest in the field, creating opportunities for Conference attendees to learn about information security's most important issues through interactions with peers, luminaries and emerging and established companies. http://p.sf.net/sfu/rsaconf-dev2dev _______________________________________________ Dspam-devel mailing list Dspam-devel@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/dspam-devel
