We have just started working with the latest version and still need to set up a git repository. Then we will be evaluating are current set of changes that we have to the 3.6 tree to verify that they are either not needed or still an outstanding issue. Once that is done, we will publish it. I do agree that we need more than a single individual to keep it moving. I just want to get the process started so that we can have some continuity.
