rc.d script? BTW, I plan to update the -devel port to 3.9.0.BETA1
(probably tomorrow).

Hardcoded at config time PREFIX/etc/dspam/conf

Why wouldn't it be, as long as you put the right user and pass?
You can run with --debug and watch the output.
