Hello,
   I just joined the list again after I recently discovered that dspam
was alive again. I'm so excited!... Anyway the problem you have I just
solved for myself awhile back...

so for me I do
main.cf
mailbox_transport = dspam

and

master.cf

dspam   unix    -       n       n       -       10      pipe
   flags=Ru user=dspam:mail argv=/usr/bin/dspam --deliver=innocent,spam
--user $user -i f $sender -- $recipient

The trick is the :mail part, I used to have just user=dspam, and then
every update to cyrus would change the permissions of the lmtp socket
directory and mail would bounce. Adding the group to run as mail solved
it for me as the permissions are cyrus:mail for that directory.

Not sure how that helps with your mailbox_command vs mailbox_transport...
