No, my user is not listed as a trusted user.  The following
are listed:

  Trust root
  Trust dspam
  Trust apache
  Trust mail
  Trust mailnull
  Trust smmsp
  Trust daemon

Since I was able to run dspam_train successfully from
my user account, wouldn't it make sense that I can
also run dspam_stats, independent of whether my
account is listed as a trusted user?  And if there
is some sort of access violation, it would be helpful
if dspam_stats issued a diagnostic to that effect.

No I ran dspam_train and dspam_stats from the command line with
my normal user account in effect.
(in non- client/server mode, using the hash storage engine).
