I ended up setting up DSPAM the way you described at the above link, and it
seems to make more sense even though local mail isn't caught by DSPAM. But
that is something I can live with, for now.

Anyway, after following your setup, my dspam-retrain still fails. The
MAILDER-DAEMON spits out:

<s...@mydomain.com>: Command died with status 22: "/usr/bin/dspamc"

How do I know what usually happpens with status 22?

I tried to reproduce the error by doing this in the command line:
$ sudo dspamc --client --mode=teft --class=spam --source=error --user
"usern...@mydomain.com" --signature="1,4c754a0023651681617146"

But I got no output. Did i try to reproduce the error correctly? How do I
track for this error?

Yes, I was aware of that. I will try to upgrade it as soon as possible. The
deb files for lenny should be compatible with ubuntu 8.04, shouldn't it?
