Hi,

I have problem with connection timeouts to my mysql server.
I have found this thread in google:

http://mailing-list.nuclearelephant.com/2502.html

My situation is similar or even the same. I have configured dspam to
have only one connection cache to mysql server and it helped to
decrase amount of this error messages in my maillog.
Also i have increased connection timeout in mysql server, but this is
not fix for this problem! I have virtual users only in my setup and
dspam works in opt in mode. After making this workarounds i do not
have problems with this very often but....!
Lately i have had problem with connection to internet due switch
failure and my server doesn't has connection to internet so there were
no emails. So finaly mysql timeouted dspam, and then when problem was
fixed i got a lot of emails that were in my backup mx. But since mysql
timeouted dspam all of this emails haven't been classified!!
The same thing happens when i have to restart mysql server. dspam
looses connection to mysql and never tries to restore this connection.
So when i have to restart mysql, also i have to restart dspam :(

This is really annoying bug in dspam and i think it should be fixed. I
don't have time to watch my logs for this error all the time. Other
thing which should be considered is that i think when this error
occurs dspam should not send email without processing it. I think
dspam should defer receiving emails until connection to mysql will be
restored.

Is there any work or plans to fix this issue?
