I've removed amavisd and just use dspam in daemon mode directly from postfix for a simpler setup. Mail gets delivered just fine and messages are passed through dspam correctly, but I need to try and stop spam messages from being delivered to the virtual addresses. > > This is entirely possible without using groups. > > Groups can be useful to share a common DSPAM profile or the have a basic > out-of-the-box filtering for new users (merged group) if all users have > a similar "spam" definition. My issue is how do I create a spam profile for people who can't reasonably be expected to train dspam? These users have only an arms length involvement and trying to get them all training dspam isn't realistic :-( Hence my desire to use other users training as a base model for them. > > For the single spam alias I think embedding the MySQL UID in the > signature will solve that. Hmm, I'm doing that, but I still have a lot of aliases getting trained. > Executive summary: You don't need groups for a virtual setup. > > fs > > > !DSPAM:16,45f6813c8631759932890! > >
