hi

Several of my users have domains registered and have a default address
>setup to catch all mail sent to the domain

>From what i understand they dont want seperate pop3 accounts for all their
>users. so they use a "catchall" account which unfortunately also catches all
>the spam

if my understanding is correct (we use qmailtoaster) this is what we do

a) let us say you have several users
[EMAIL PROTECTED]
[EMAIL PROTECTED]
[EMAIL PROTECTED]

create an alias called let us say [EMAIL PROTECTED]

now alias the above 3 users to the [EMAIL PROTECTED]

all emails sent to
[EMAIL PROTECTED]
[EMAIL PROTECTED]
[EMAIL PROTECTED]
will go to [EMAIL PROTECTED]

now only legitimate email will reach their [EMAIL PROTECTED]

we implement this quite succesfully

note : the [EMAIL PROTECTED] will be a seperate catchall account and will be
catching all the trash or alternatively you can set the postmaster to reject
all emails which are not sent to a valid alias / email id
