What am I missing here?
Well, I'm running dspam on different sites using dspam just as you are, with a shared group (I suppose that's a global user), but without specifying the global user.
I have 'ServerParameters "--deliver=innocent,spam -d %u"'. That refers to the user my original Postfix smtpd listener received as envelope recipient and has been preserved right through an amavisd-new filter and will be until maildrop delivers it. The shared group user is a different entity from the envelope recipient and is only used by dspam for its own mechanism, has nothing to do with the envelope recipient. I use the shared group as '--user' for all retraining, though.
