I recompiled with virtual users and it seems to work.
I'm trying to figure this out but I guess it has to do with permissions on the
/usr/local/var/dspam directory.
I forgot to include my compile line with my original post. Following is the
compile line I am currently using.
./configure --enable-daemon --with-storage-driver=mysql_drv
--with-mysql-libraries=/usr/lib/mysql --with-mysql-includes=/usr/include/mysql
--enable-mysql4-initialization --enable-preferences-extensions
