IMAP authentication, the $CURRENT_USER works correctly...

I have an idea, I will restore the backup of lost message and deliver by command line:

/bin/dspam --source=error --class=innocent --signature="xxxxxx" -- user [EMAIL PROTECTED]

This command should receive a message from my quarantine that have a signature ID especified and deliver to the next hop, amavis, ok?

I'll post the result..

I'm sorry, I should have been more specific. Delivering messages out of quarantine is handled exclusively by the web application. For whatever reason, when /that/ is calling dspam to retrain, it is not passing the correct commandline parameters. Looking at the code, I suspect that the $CURRENT_USER is incorrect.

How are you authenticating to the CGI? Is is possible that the user logged in with 'username' instead of '[EMAIL PROTECTED]' (or vice versa) and dspam was not able to locate that UID? Is there something non-standard about this particular user, e.g. are you using extended ASCII characters in the username?

FWIW, you can change that code to hardcode one of the trusted accounts (e.g. www-data which is the EUID executing the CGI) and dspam will DTRT when you include the UID with the signature...
