Since I have never administered any sort of database I think I'ld be better off staying away from anything that requires MySQL, etc. for now. Hash driver is default, I think SQLite was default in older versions though. > 2. My mail server has about 500 - 600 users. Should I run DSPAM in daemon mode? I'm not sure about this, but I think daemon mode should be preferred in most cases, I personally run Postfix using LMTP, don't know much about sendmail. > If I want to later install something like Amavis for virus scanning can I integrate that into a pre-existing DSPAM installation or do I need to install both of these (DSPAM and Amavis) at the same time? I don't know about Amavis, I use CLAMAV in daemon mode and DSPAM can be configured to use it just by modifying the config file and restarting.
