Yes, turn on debugging and look at the *debug log* in $DSPAMHOME/log, not the mail log. In addition, you'll get a transcript of the message as sent in dspam.messages in that directory.


I have in dspam.conf:
Debug *

But in /usr/local/var/dspam/log all I have is an sql log. I don't see dspam.messages or any other debug log. I also have a system.log in /usr/local/var/dspam but I don't see any sort of errors in there.

Is there something else I need to do to get a debug log?

Should come by itself. If you use Red Hat/Fedora you could grab one of my rpms/srpms for 3.8.0, which should get you that (but you then won't be using /usr/local for *anything* after installing).
