I already had a longish exchange with Steve about this. Ensure that your dspam binary is built *only* with basic debug support. You don't have a fsck on bnr-debug support, anyway, unless you are up to Jonz in intelligence and empirical knowledge ;)

With basic debug support my (admittedly Red Hat/Fedora) dspam never crashes.
