Hi Red Hat/Centos people,

If anybody cares, there are 2 FC6 dspam CVS rpms and an srpm that should build on FC6, RHEL5 and CentOS5 on ftp://ipd50aa34e.speed.planet.nl//pub/FedoraFC6rpms/dspam-3.8.0. I don't think the srpm will build on earlier OS release because of required back-end versions (especially sqlite), it *will* build on later FC releases, if the required back-end devel packages are installed (it will tell you which, as will the rpms). Even though you don't use them, they are required.

Because I ran (several months ago) my original rpm against rpmlint, it displeased rpmlint which told me I had to split the package up into base and devel - nowadays I don't bother with rpmlint any longer. But both packages have to be installed, a PITA but I'm too lazy to change things back.

A word of warning: I build all my rpms with strict LFH (certainly not Debian) adherence. So $DSPAMHOME is /var/lib/dspam, $(SYSCOFNDIR) is /etc. If your $DSPAMHOME is /var/dspam it will move it to /var/lib/dspam, otherwise it will create /var/lib/dspam - but it won't touch your dspam.conf, if that has another $DSPAMHOME.

Also, I used to build my rpms with the back-end drivers in /usr/lib. The CVS now insists on them being in the subdirectory dspam; that's ok with me, so the new location is /usr/lib/dspam.

Anyway,

Best,
