Yes. It is the BNR debug crashing DSPAM. The fix is simple. Get the patch from the Gentoo Bugzilla Bug 199700 (http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=199700). Or get directly the patch from Gentoo Bugzilla attachment 138206 (http://bugs.gentoo.org/attachment.cgi?id=138206).
Ok, it also applies cleanly to 071212 CVS too, so I've rebuilt both the 3.8.0 and CVS rpms with it.
