Maybe I should take a look at the gentoo patches - assuming this works for lots of other 3.8.0 users...
It used to work for me (Red Hat user) when I used it (months and months ago) but I don't any more. Because I use a shared group that doesn't need it.
One of the attractive things about dspam (and for me there are 100,000) is how configurable it is for individual site needs. It can be used in a multitude of ways and with a multitude of different configurations; the imagination and skills of the user are the only barriers.
