There were two upgrades to the ID800. The first took the memories from 6 to 100 (154 if you use RPT slots as UR's). (See ID-800 ICF in the files section on dstar_digital). There was no fee for this upgrade. The second upgrade added an RF attenuator and a beep for $30 something $$$. I would call Icom tech support and see if they will still do the first upgrade at no cost. I have one with the first upgrade and one with both upgrades and don't see a need to spend the $$ for the second upgrade. Steve NU5D
