Gary K2ACY and myself tried the "connect to peer/listen to connection from peer" function with the DVTool today successfully.
We found that after doing a correct router port forwarding of a udp port. I used 20005 after Gary used 20095 in his test. The PTT button etc is not used(stays greyed out) and there is an instant duplex contact, where you just talk and listen with no DVTool controls needed or used during the contact. One must "listen to Connection from Peer" whilst the other must "Connect to Peer" for the contact to occur. We found some delay and patience must be observed whilst talking, to allow for some latency factors. vk4tux
