Thats great! I have tried to get into it but no dice.
I can hear it though, but no S-units on my 282 from the base.
I used to be able to key up the old analog machine on 3.225 but cant
hit the UHF Dstar from here in Oakville ON.

The DStar repeaters don't have a preamp so you will need one to make
up the difference on RX.
Our VHF Dstar on 146.715- VE3WIK in Carlisle (near Hamilton) needed
a preamp when we converted it from analog to Dstar back in January.
It was definitely deafer than a post compared to the analog machine.
Its much better now. We also had to add an additional P.A to bump up
the power to 65 W to even things out.

Works great now. We don't have the gateway online yet but we are
working on getting internet connectivity to the site very shortly.

Also we will add a UHF machine when that happens.
