The Delorme EarthMate USB is capable of outputting NMEA format. There is a way to change the format inside the Street Atlas, if I remember correclty. A while back I played with using the EarthMate with some other software that required NMEA. While this site does not tell how to do it, it does show that the Delorme Earthmate will output NMEA-0183 format and has been used for APRS. http://www.byonics.com/gst-1/
