Good 23cm results today, with VK4RGC A from 30 miles out on my local hill.
QSO'ed with VK4ZJC, with signal S5 received. I use a dual band (id-800h)2m/70cm antenna(homebrew*) as a director with the ID-1 on a 2-3/4 w 23cm antenna*, both on magnetic mounts. Excess coax pruning and a new type N connector all helped. I tried on this same spot, 2 weeks ago, with no result on attempt to keyup VK4RGC A. Tried the rps DD and although not internet routed, I received a few packets for the first time, with a different IP I setup today. Spoke to Brian NJ6N also and apparently cross gateway DD networking is not possible. However VK4RGC A looks very ready for happens next. vk4tux --- In [email protected], "vk4tux" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > With a bit more research it appears this connection is controlled by the > > ¨Use Local Server¨ > > disabled in the Utility for ID-RP2C checkbox . > > > > obviously the DSL is not connected > > on WIA D-Star repeater ID-RP2D´s and if ¨(Interconnection with other > > remote users is not possible.)¨ Such that a intranet is not possible > > either; > > > > Then I wonder why we have have DD modules setup here in VK at all? > > > > The ACMA have indicated to me that the internet connection is not > > necessarily prohibited and are working on a clarification regarding > > this now, and shall report back. >
