Our gateway runs a VIA MII-1000 Mini-ITX C3 1GHz board with 512MB of RAM, and seems to be working well. I will probably change out the RAM at some point and put a full 1GB in it.
As a bonus, it runs off 12V, so we run it off our battery plant with the rest of the repeater stack. Lee ve7fet
