To ALL Forum Members,

The tropical storm in the Gulf of Mexico has the Gulf Coast in
STANDBY
mode right now. However, I have taken
it upon myself to contact the gateway owners in the Houston/Galveston area
and Laredo, Texas to listen for a NET
which maybe formal and/or informal depending upon circumstances.

Connie, KB0ZGC, if anyone wants to know where this net is being
held,
point them to the REF004 A reflector.

MAKE SURE ALL DVdongle AND DSTAR USERS CONNECT TO THE
REFLECTOR, NOT
GATEWAYS directly.
(This will minimize R2D2 and dropouts).

More than likely the net will be controlled from either Florida
and/or Georgia were they have weather information
bulletins to pass much like they did last Sunday Evening on the Net.
This is
more like the activity you will hear about
every hour or at first every two hours until landfall. After that, the
information will be more often as deemed necessary.

P.S. My computers are all around me in my shack, so emails here will be
received and acknowledged or the email
addresses below. I will be out of pocket from 9am-11am tomorrow
morning. I will not bring up the WD5STR
gateway until I hear activity on my DVdongle. I will be
interested in
updated bulletins, Houston/East Texas traffic.

Be Safe, but most of all BE Careful!
