If I wasn't on a budget my first choice would be an upgraded 2820, hands down. Budget constraints are the reality for many of us, especially right now. My 800H fits my basic needs just fine. IMO, it's the best bargan among the entire Icom D-Star lineup. I know it won't do everything but it's also half the price. As is typical for Icom, it's very well made. The instructions are also typical Icom but that's for a different thread.
