What they probably should have done is provide a command level interface to poke/peek data into a tx/rx data buffer. If the control channel is running at 9600baud that would enable plenty of speed to keep a 900baud data buffer full/empty. Perhaps they did, and 'we' haven't worked out how to use it yet.... Looking at the schematics for the UT-115/118 at least there is the possibility of intercepting the serial lines to/from the module. Simon VA6SDW
