Do you still have questions in regards to this? I just bought the ID-880 and its working great programming was easy as pie. I did notice that if you don't have the radio hooked up at the time of programming the software using ICOM's CS-80/880 software you get a different template that leaves out a lot of settings that needs to be adjusted.
