And the Department of Homeland security is funding grants for CERT and other prohgrams that depend on civilian volunteers. After the last quake here in California the local PD FD and what ever were over whelmed. The FD where I am is counting on us to help in a major event and have placed significant time and resources into volunteer programs. Our stuff works no matter what happens, ---
