It MAY be possible to use two ID-1 Transceivers for your Internet Connection. 
However, just because they can support the 128kbps Ineternet you need to 
remember that there will be addition overhead data added to the packet, this 
includes Gateway Connection Information, instructions, error protocols, DV, 
etc... 

This is one of the reason that there has been such a great push for a dedicated 
High Speed Internet Connection.

Here in Texas we the Denton County Amateur Radio Association is waiting for our 
grant purchase to install a second D*STAR Cluster. This will be installed in an 
area with no Broadband that will meet our needs. So, we've come up with an 
ingenious idea to use Motorola Canopy Wireless Equipment to push a broadband 
signal from our current stack site to our new stack site, but this will be on 
the WAN Side not the D*STAR Side.
