What Nate's idea avoids is the repeater having to carry the callsign routed traffic, so the reflector is not tied up by point to point QSOs. Not a bad way of mixing routed and linked traffic. It would work here, because the D-STAR admins like to have the gateways linked to a national reflector channel. Being able to make a call without typing up the reflector (or bothering about unlinking, etc) by simply routing to your destination is a big plus in my opinion. 73 de VK3JED / VK3IRL http://vkradio.com
